The history of the bar

A profession the bartender appeared during the “gold rush” in the US. Then came the first bars – the outlets that sold everything from shovels to lingerie. Over time, in order to attract visitors, owners of shops began to pour alcohol to customers. And one day a clever businessman has partitioned room with high barrier that divided the shop and place for those who want to drink. From this barrier took place the word “bar”.

The methods preparation of cocktails

 

“BUILD” – is designed to mix easily mix ingredients in a glass for the guest. Mechanics: in a glass put ice and pour the ingredients, stir by bar spoon;
Example: “Screwdriver”, “Long Island Ice Tea”, “Tequila Sunrise,” “Black Russian”, etc.

“Stir” – is designed for mixing and cooling components to be mixed easily and supplying the beverage without ice. Mechanics: pour into a glass of ice-frappe for cooling, pour the ice in a mixing glass, pour ingredients, stir by bar spoon and filtered through a strainer into a chilled cocktail glass without ice;
Example: “Martini”, “Manhattan”, “Gibson” , etc.

“Shake” – is designed for mixing and cooling difficult mixed components. Mechanics: pour into the glass ice for cooling, pour the ice in a shaker, pour the ingredients in a shaker, shake and filter through a strainer (if using American Shaker) in the glass. Pre-condensation draining;
Example: “Gin Fizz”, “Grasshopper”, “Kamikaze”, etc.

“BLEND” – is designed for preparation of cocktails with fruits and rich in ice. Mechanics: pour into a glass of ice-frappe for cooling, pour the ice in a blender, pour the ingredients, shake up and pour the contents into a chilled cocktail glass without ice;
Example: “Frozen Margarita”, “Pina Colada”, etc.

Madl – use Muddler in the preparation of cocktails.
